Virtual Meetings during COVID-19

Please read this update with Zoom information for many meetings.

We have set up a steering committee to help individual groups set up virtual meetings, through Zoom or Facebook, and we strongly suggest that each group consider doing this as a substitute format during this time.

Mary Ann     404-520-9915

The steering committee can help you set the meeting up and put the link on our website on the meeting list page.  Individuals can then be directed to this page and can virtually attend any meeting they choose.

Remember, this pandemic is a part of HP’s plan even though we may not understand why.  Our job is to continue to do our footwork, do our best, and leave the results to HP.

Let’s continue to support one another, reach out to one another, and focus on being of service to those around us.

Please continue to reach out to the board with suggestions and stories of experience, strength, and hope!

Important Message from Intergroup

Freedom and HopeAs we are experiencing uncertain times it is important to remember what our program and our fellowship is all about:  Perfecting and enlarging our spiritual life through service and self-sacrifice for others.

(Please check the meeting list for special notices about meeting changes and you may want to contact the meeting contact to confirm).

Read this important information about Zoom meetings.

Please also see more information about support for virtual meetings.

Finally, it is important that we do not give in to fear (as well as any other emotions)!  Be sure to continue your step work, continue to support, reach out and encourage one another, and, most importantly, continue to allow your HP to guide you!

The board is here to help groups and individuals carry the message so feel free to reach out to us with questions or concerns.

Navigating the OA Bookstore

Literature is an important tool for recovery! Some folks have reported challenges finding specific resources on the official OA Bookstore, so….

Here’s a guide with some quick links to key resources.

Did you know that OA even has some resources available for digital download or on mp3 files or audio CD’s?

In addition, if you like to use an e-reader, Amazon and Barnes and Noble have some books available in e-reader format. Some books are available in the library, too.

Don’t forget that public information/public outreach materials are available in the Intergroup Office in the plastic file drawers on top of the file cabinets. Let’s all reach out!
